A gleaming gem hidden in the depths of a towering canyon. The sense of discovery and limitless opportunity granted to those willing to explore every corner of the chasm, from its majestic rims to the fierce river flowing down the rocks below.
Such was the image that came to our minds when we decided to start a production company to pursue a path of filmmaking and videography.
Thus was founded CanyonGem Productions S.E.N.C. in 2017, with the goal to produce vital, engaging and affecting works for a contemporary and diverse audience.
Productions under the CanyonGem brand include short films, music videos, promotional videos and, eventually, feature-length films. We are interested in the production of both narrative and documentary content. Dark comedy, drama, science fiction and thriller stand among our favorite film genres.
Our video production services are vast and adaptable to all your creative needs. We value transparency, authenticity and the strength of a sincere human connection. Together, we can harness the power of film to inspire your audience by telling quality stories.

Une gemme étincelante cachée au fond d'un immense canyon. Le sentiment de découverte et d'opportunité illimitée accordé à ceux et celles assez braves pour explorer chaque recoin du gouffre, de ses pointes majestueuses jusqu'à la rivière déchaînée coulant dans les roches plus bas.
Telle était l'image qui vint à nos esprits lorsque nous avons décidé de lancer une société de production afin de poursuivre un parcours de cinéma et de vidéographie.
Ainsi fut fondée CanyonGem Productions S.E.N.C. en 2017, dans le but de produire des oeuvres vitales, engageantes et émouvantes pour un public contemporain et diversifié.
Les productions sous la marque CanyonGem incluent des courts métrages, des vidéoclips, des vidéos promotionnelles et, éventuellement, des longs métrages. Nous sommes intéressés à la production de contenu narratif et documentaire. La comédie noire, le drame, la science-fiction et le thriller comptent parmi nos genres cinématographiques préférés.

BIOGRAPHY
Xavier Martinez and Pablo Martinez are filmmakers and writers from Montreal, Canada. Fascinated by storytelling from a very early age, the two began experimenting with stop motion and live-action films during their childhood and teenage years while discovering the icons of world cinema, ranging from Kurosawa and Truffaut to Bergman and Leone. They started CanyonGem Productions S.E.N.C. during their studies at McGill University and both are now active as filmmakers and videographers. Their professional endeavors also include prose writing and photography.
BIOGRAPHIE
Xavier Martinez et Pablo Martinez sont des cinéastes et écrivains originaires de Montréal, au Canada. Fascinés par l'art du récit dès leur plus jeune âge, les deux ont commencé à expérimenter avec des films en stop motion et en prises de vue réelles au cours de leur enfance et leur adolescence tout en découvrant les icônes du cinéma mondial, de Kurosawa et Truffaut à Bergman et Leone. Ils ont lancé CanyonGem Productions S.E.N.C. durant leurs études à l'Université McGill et les deux sont maintenant actifs en tant que cinéastes et vidéastes. Leurs poursuites professionnelles incluent aussi l'écriture en prose et la photographie.

A work experience in diverse environments, from VFX production to an athletic webcasting service. Shoots in exterior and interior locations with green screen units. A notion of the optimal equipment for each production, from Super 16mm to 5K.
